Dear Friends, . I’d be hard-pressed to come up with an opportunity more satisfying than sharing with you the excitement and pleasure of supporting Jazz in our community. Each season includes nearly a hundred events including free concerts, afternoon performances, intimate evening cabarets, trolley pub crawls, boat excursions and our week-long festival in March
In addition to the joy of these performances, the Jazz Club is very proud of its collaboration with Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in bringing the Jazzlinks integrated arts program into all Sarasota and Manatee county high schools; and of providing, through the generosity of its members, nearly $30,000 in scholarships each year to young musicians pursuing their jazz studies in higher education. In 2019 the club introduced a high school jazz band competition that has grown each year!
All of this is a very big deal, and the members of The Jazz Club of Sarasota have been doing this for more than Forty Years!
